Travel spending will this holiday season, according to a report released Tuesday by the Richmond-based order United States aid. In the third annual American holiday confidence index access, order said nearly six out of ten Americans (or 57 per cent) were confident they would be taking a vacation trip this year, from 50 percent in 2010.
Overall, tourists who intend to spend an average of $ 980 holiday travel, down slightly from $ 1,040 budgeted last year. However, with significantly more mature, expect to take a trip, overall spending will increase to $ 65,2 million. Other takeaways from the report:
Air travel win big: while the car is still on the journey mode of transport (56 percent), more tourists who intend to fly to their destinations this year. The three travelers (34 percent) were planning to fly up from 26 percent last year, and 27 percent in 2009.
Keep in the family: a family Holiday and go of the hands, so it’s not surprising that two-thirds of parents with children under 18 reported that holiday vacation is important.
